Day 1: ARRIVAL / NAIROBI

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be picked up by Woni Safaris representative, after safari orientation you will be transferred to your hotel for dinner and overnight at

DAY 2: TSAVO WEST NATIONAL PARK 

After breakfast you will be transferred to the Wilson airport for your scheduled flight to the Tsavo West National Park. Upon arrival to the airstrip, you will be transferred to your lodge arriving in time for lunch. In the late afternoon proceed on a game viewing drive returning for dinner and overnight at

Combined, Tsavo West & East National Parks makes Tsavo one of the world’s largest game sanctuaries covering 20,812 sq. km. Tsavo East is larger and more arid. There are only two permanent rivers in this vast area; the Tsavo which begins its life on Kilimanjaro is greatly supplemented by huge Underground River flowing from the Mzima Springs and the Athi in Tsavo East which begins in Nairobi. Tsavo is home to the largest elephant population despite the poaching of the earlier years.

DAY 4: SWEETWATERS GAME SANCTUARY 

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip where you will board your flight to Nairobi, Upon arrival you will connect your scheduled flight to Nanyuki where after landing you will be met by your driver guide and transferred to your camp arriving in time for lunch. Sweetwaters Game Reserve is a private game sanctuary, which is home to Sweetwaters Tented Camp. From the camp there are magnificent views of the snow-capped peaks of Mount Kenya, especially at sunrise. The luxurious thatched-roofed tents overlook a large waterhole, which is floodlit by night providing a haven for thirsty wildlife. The water hole offers excellent and secluded game viewing, rarely seen elsewhere. This game sanctuary is the closest reserve to Nairobi (2.5 hours drive) and has the highest ratio of game-to-area of any park or reserve in Kenya. Game drives at Sweetwaters are indeed a pleasure. Game viewing may also take the form of game walks accompanied by the Resident Naturalist. The Chimpanzee Sanctuary & Information Center is most informative and entertaining and should be visited while in the Game Reserve.

Day 6: SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE

A place of dust-red plains and palm-fringed rivers, Samburu National Reserve lies on the fringes of the vast and arid desert once known as the Northern Frontier District. Physically dramatic, the 104 sq. kilometer landscape features rocky battlements, dry riverbeds and thorn scrub. As for wildlife, Samburu offers sanctuary to the endangered Gravy’s zebra, the rare beisa Oryx and the blue-shanked Somali ostrich whilst large herds of elephant roam the gaunt hills during the day before returning to bath on the banks of the river in the evening. It is also famously referred as the “Born-free Country”, where Elsa the Lioness was brought up by Joy Adamson the wife of George who was a game warden. Following the death of their mother, Joy became their foster parent bringing them up and later the Born-free Movie series was produced. More recently Samburu was also the venue where “Survivor Africa” movie series was shot

Day 8: MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE

After breakfast you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight to the World-renowned Maasai Mara National Reserve arriving for lunch at your camp. In the late afternoon proceed on a game viewing drive returning for dinner and overnight at

The Maasai Mara is actually an extension to the north of the world famous Serengeti in Tanzania. Covering an area of 1,510 square kilometers the Mara is situated west of Nairobi is world-renowned and is Kenya’s finest wildlife sanctuary. Everything about this reserve is outstanding – the speciality being the abundant wildlife. The highlight of the Mara is between July and October, when the world’s greatest wildlife spectacle takes place – the annual wildebeest migration, the sensation is unparalleled. Simply an impressive feature, this migration of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle from the plains of the Serengeti that crosses the Tanzania border and rivers to reach the Mara’s lush grassland. The journey is haunted by predators: lion, leopard, and cheetah and circled by vultures. The crocodiles wait during the dramatic river crossings – a reality for tourists visiting in July all through to October. The Mara is simply a natural showpiece; any visitor is virtually guaranteed to see the “big five”. Most of the breath-taking views in the film ‘Out of Africa’ were taken here. Day 11 – NAIROBI / DEPART

After breakfast you will be transferred to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Nairobi, upon arrival you will be met by Woni Safaris representative who will transfer you to your hotel to freshen up. The rest of the day will be spent on leisure. Later in the day you will be transferred to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your outbound flight.
