Day 1: ARRIVAL / NAIROBI

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be picked up by Woni Safaris representative, after safari orientation you will be transferred to your hotel for dinner and overnight at

A modern developing city of modern contrasts, Nairobi is a rich mixture of different ethnic groups, boasting a near perfect climate all year round. The National Museum, the City Market and the Nairobi National Park bordering the city itself, are only some of the attractions of the city. Also on offer is a wide range of excellent restaurants specializing in international cuisine

Day 2: AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast and a brief safari orientation, commence safari and drive to Amboseli National Park arriving at your lodge/camp in time for lunch. In the late afternoon proceed on a game viewing drive returning for dinner and overnight at

With snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro ever present in the background on a clear day, Amboseli is the justly famous for its big game and scenic beauty. Kilimanjaro is the highest free-standing Mountain in the world. Game viewing is particularly easy in this park. There is a concentration of animals in the area centered on the dry salt lake at Ol Tukai. Amboseli is noted for its resident herds of elephant, buffalo, wildebeest, giraffe, gazelle and other plain’s game. Cheetahs are occasionally seen and there are hippos in the swamp. Birds are numerous and a special attraction in the lake and marsh areas.

 

Day 3: AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

This day you will have morning and afternoon game drives, all meals and overnight at

Day 4: THE GREAT RIFT VALLEY

After breakfast you will be transferred to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Wilson airport where upon arrival you will be met by your driver guide and drive to Lake Nakuru National park arriving in time for lunch. In the late afternoon, proceed on a game viewing drives, all meals and overnight at

Day 5: OL PEJETA CONSERVANCY

Sweetwaters Game Reserve is a private game sanctuary, which is home to Sweetwaters Tented Camp. From the camp there are magnificent views of the snow-capped peaks of Mount Kenya, especially at sunrise. The luxurious thatched-roofed tents overlook a large waterhole, which is floodlit by night providing a haven for thirsty wildlife. The water hole offers excellent and secluded game viewing, rarely seen elsewhere. This game sanctuary is the closest reserve to Nairobi (2.5 hours drive) and has the highest ratio of game-to-area of any park or reserve in Kenya. Game drives at Sweetwaters are indeed a pleasure. Game viewing may also take the form of game walks accompanied by the Resident Naturalist. The Chimpanzee Sanctuary & Information Center is most informative and entertaining and should be visited while in the Game Reserve

 

Day 7 – SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE

After breakfast drive through the Equator line with a stopover here, where a demo will be carried out to show you how matter behaves differently whilst on either side of the hemisphere; thereafter continue to the northern frontier district arriving at your camp in time for lunch. In the late afternoon proceed on a game viewing drive returning for dinner and overnight at

Day 8 – SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE

A place of dust-red plains and palm-fringed rivers, Samburu National Reserve lies on the fringes of the vast and arid desert once known as the Northern Frontier District. Physically dramatic, the 104 sq. kilometer landscape features rocky battlements, dry riverbeds and thorn scrub. As for wildlife, Samburu offers sanctuary to the endangered Gravy’s zebra, the rare beisa Oryx and the blue-shanked Somali ostrich whilst large herds of elephant roam the gaunt hills during the day before returning to bath on the banks of the river in the evening. It is also famously referred as the “Born-free Country”, where Elsa the Lioness was brought up by Joy Adamson the wife of George who was a game warden. Following the death of their mother, Joy became their foster parent bringing them up and later the Born-free Movie series was produced. More recently Samburu was also the venue where “Survivor Africa” movie series was shot

Day 9: MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE

After breakfast you will be transferred to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Nairobi, upon arrival at the Wilson Airport you will board your local flight to the World-renowned Maasai Mara National Reserve arriving for lunch at your camp. In the late afternoon proceed on a game viewing drive returning for dinner and overnight at

SANCTUARY OLONANA – Deluxe

The Maasai Mara is actually an extension to the north of the world famous Serengeti in Tanzania. Covering an area of 1,510 square kilometers the Mara is situated west of Nairobi is world-renowned and is Kenya’s finest wildlife sanctuary. Everything about this reserve is outstanding – the speciality being the abundant wildlife. The highlight of the Mara is between July and October, when the world’s greatest wildlife spectacle takes place – the annual wildebeest migration, the sensation is unparalleled. Simply an impressive feature, this migration of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle from the plains of the Serengeti that crosses the Tanzania border and rivers to reach the Mara’s lush grassland. The journey is haunted by predators: lion, leopard, and cheetah and circled by vultures. The crocodiles wait during the dramatic river crossings – a reality for tourists visiting in July all through to October. The Mara is simply a natural showpiece; any visitor is virtually guaranteed to see the “big five”. Most of the breath-taking views in the film ‘Out of Africa’ were taken here. Day 12 – NAIROBI / DEPART

After breakfast you will be transferred to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Nairobi, upon arrival you will be met by Woni Safaris representative who will transfer you to your hotel to freshen up, the rest of the day will be spent on leisure,. Later you will be transferred to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your outbound flight.

    • Transportation in exclusive use of private minivan vehicle fitted with a photographic and viewing pop up roof and driven by an English Speaking Driver Guide.
    • 3 meals per day as described in the itinerary, all park and conservation Entrance Fees.
