Kenya remains a top destination for safaris. Vast parks, varied landscapes and habitats, beautiful animals and much more … Did you know that ‘Safari’ is a Swahili word that means ‘journey’. It is almost impossible to mention the many animal species that are at home here: the Big Five – big 5 – (buffalo, elephant, rhinoceros, lion and leopard), but also giraffes, zebras, hippos, antelopes, hyenas, wildebeests, wild dogs and gazelles.

On the endless plains of the Masai Mara, possibly one of the most famous game reserves in Africa, a unique natural phenomenon takes place: the great seasonal migration of hundreds of thousands of wildebeest, followed by zebras and gazelles, an unforgettable spectacle! To the Red Elephants of Tsavo ….

The Samburu Game Reserve, which is also the home of the Samburu tribe, is located just above the equator in the semi-desert-like center of Kenya. This beautiful park consists of 3 parts: Samburu, Buffalo Springs and Shaba. What makes a safari in the Samburu Park extra interesting is that one can see animal species that are practically non-existent elsewhere such as the Grèvy zebra, the Beisa oryxes, net giraffes and the blue-legged Somali ostrich. This area is also regarded by ornithologists as an exceptional bird paradise.
