Zimbabwe is an incredibly beautiful country that has some difficult years behind it. Fortunately the tourism is slowly moving again though the accommodations are not all up to date. And you are advised to travel in groups. Only fly-in safaris to the up-market accommodations are individually achievable. Their major strengths are: one of Southern Africa historic ruins and the concentrations of wildlife in the National Parks near the largest rivers.

Hwange National Park is home to the Big Five in large numbers. It is the only protected area where gemsbok and brown hyena in reasonable numbers can be found. Moreover, this piece of untouched nature houses one of the largest remaining hurdles of African wild dogs. The central and southern part of the park are dominated by sandy plains with sparse vegetation, foothills of the northern Kalahari woestijn.het hokey is wooded with trees and Mopane accia's this park is closely followed by the Matusadona National Park. In the Matobo National Park, you can see how erosion has worn smooth granite rocks to bald heads. In eroded caves are the petroglyphs of the San still visible. The rich delta landscape of Mana Pools National Park in turn has great wildlife concentrations and here you can find the rare Sunni and Nyala.

Great Zimbabwe shows the remnants of seeing one of the greatest civilizations in Africa and is the symbol of national pride of the besoners Zimbabwe. This Shonostad was built in the 12th century. In the green Eastern Highlands three mountain ranges are a paradise for walkers, botanists and bird watchers. One was built in 1963 the Zambezi indamde on the second largest artificial lake in the world, formed the Lake Kariba. It has become a haven for wildlife, birds and fish. You can make lovely boat trips and / or fishing. The drowned Mopane trees give the banks a special character especially at sunset. The Victoria Falls last but not least would be best from Zimbabwe. Mosi Oa Tunya "or" smoke that thunders "as the Africans call this natural phenomenon. The mist of the waterfall produces descends like a perpetual rain, has such a narrow strip close refenwoud formed. Here one becomes  truly quiet!
